Brows are big business, with the eyebrow market in the UK worth a staggering £41.8 million alone according to Mintel reports. With that in mind, UK company Blink Brow Bar decided to survey tens of thousands of women to find out exactly what their brow concerns were.
After questioning upwards of 50,000 women, the results were in with one in five women admitting to not grooming their brows at all. Further, half of women admitted to never using brow products.
In terms of brow concerns, it was found that the biggest problem for women was ‘unevenness’; as 32 per cent of survey participants listed that as their biggest eyebrow worry. Following unevenness was:
- ‘too unruly’ at 31 per cent
- ‘patchy’ at 26 per cent
- ‘shapeless’ at 23 per cent
- ‘too thin’ at 18 per cent
- ‘over plucked’ at 17 per cent
The least of women’s brow concerns appeared to be ‘too fair’ — with only 16 per cent of women citing it as their main concern.
