Inter Parfums sales up for Q2

Inter Parfums posted a 2.5 per cent increase in sales to $AU97.3 million for the second quarter of 2011, according to the company.

Sales grew by 8 per cent at constant exchange rates to reach $AU214.1 million for the first six months of the financial year.

The quarterly results were boosted by new launches and the success of the Lanvin and Jimmy Choo fragrance lines.

The initial launch of the Jimmy Choo signature fragrance and the inclusion of legacy Montblanc fragrances plus Legend, a new scent for men, accounted for much of the increase in second quarter sales," said Inter Parfums CEO and chairman Jean Madar.

"In addition, Interparfums Luxury Brands, our recently formed US distribution subsidiary, contributed to the increase in second quarter sales.”
