Where most fragrance ads focus on a Hollywood star or beautiful model, J’adore Dior’s new TV commercial Le Parfum shines a spotlight on nature – featuring a look at stunning landscapes and flowers.
Dior ambassador Charlize Theron is not completely absent from the short film though, her voice appears throughout Le Parfum despite the fact the actress is never actually seen.
To tell the tale of its J’adore fragrance, the poetic film follows the trips by House of Dior perfume creator François Demachy in the quests of La Belle Matiére from Paris to Murano via Provence and Indian landscapes. Le Parfum aims to show the consumer the steps taken and high standards used in the development of J’adore.
The film will be distributed in 30 and 60 second TV spots in France, UK, USA, Italy and China from late November and in other countries from December this year.
A 90 second clip will be distributed on cinema screens in France and China, with a 3-and-a-half minute short film also distributed on Dior.com. The complete story, lasting 20 minutes, is available on the official Dior YouTube channel.
