Lady Gaga’s first scent revealed

It’s been shrouded in mystery, but the tight media control over the new Lady Gaga fragrance has finally been lifted to reveal LADY GAGA FAME – the singer’s first fragrance released through the Arist’s Haus Laboratories in association with Coty.

Featuring the first ever black Eau de Parfum that sprays clear and becomes invisible once airborne, the black-to-clear fluid isn’t the only innovation in the fragrance set to excite.

The scent moves away from the traditional pyramidal structure of top, middle and base notes to a unique structure called the push-pull technology” where the ingredients interact together without any hierarchy.

Absolutely everything about this launch is innovative, from the bottle, to the juice, to the lady herself ... She’s zeitgeist in a bottle,” Coty Inc chief executive officer Bernd Beetztold WWD.

Coty Beauty president Renato Semerari adds, She is an artist that is never satisfied with the status quo — she always has this way of challenging everybody and trying to do something more, something different. This is a very stimulating partnership; and she’s pushed us with her ideas, we’ve come with our own ideas — and the combination of the two is very valuable.”

Created by perfumers Richard Herpin, Honorine Blanc and Nathalie Lorson of Firmenich, the fruity floral scent has three main accords – dark, sensual and light. The dark accord was inspired by the deadly plant belladonna and has incense, the sensual accord is a fusion of honey, saffron and apricot nectar, while the light accord features crushed tiger orchid and jasmine sambac.

"Enjoy the first ever fragrance from Haus Laboratories. Fame, a beautiful prospect with a dark heart. X GAGA," says Gaga.
