Jessica Gomes’ Vanity Fair Oscars party make-up

Fresh from strutting her stuff on the David Jones autumn/winter collections’ catwalk, model Jessica Gomes hit the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscars party on Sunday night.

Held at Sunset Tower in West Hollywood, chief of make-up services Rebecca Prior made sure Gomes had the perfect make-up look to complement her J’Aton dress and Jimmy Choo shoes.

"Jess really wanted to make her lips the focus, so we decided to create a very fresh and modern matte red lip to complement her white gown. I used a combination of Rococo Red Lip Pencil all over the lips and Front Row Red lipgloss,” says Prior.

To prevent the look from becoming too ‘Old Hollywood’, I kept the eye relatively clean. No obvious liner, just some contouring in her sockets with The Ultimate Nude Palette and lots of mascara. Jess has amazing skin, so I played it up further with some soft contours and highlights. The brow was polished and defined but not too much of a statement. I really wanted to clash that luminous, glowing complexion with the velvet matte textures of the eye and lip. The overall look was fresh and clean but with a powerful red lip to anchor it."
