Cara Delevingne appointed mag contributing editor

Plenty of people want a slice of the highly successful Cara Delevingne pie, and the model-slash-actress is set to add another feather in her cap with news of her appointment as contributing editor of Love magazine.

Delevingne first became involved with the magazine when she was shot for an editorial that appeared in its pages in 2009. Since then, she has appeared on four of its covers.

The social media star’s first task for Love will be to guest edit its Spring 2015 issue, which hits newsstands in February.

“[I’ve] always known that [Delevingne is] an exceptionally bright, sharp and hilarious young woman. That’s why I was so keen to let her have this chance to exercise her skills as a journalist and writer. And she has proven herself to be a fearless interviewer, never afraid to ask all the questions we want to know the answers to,” says Love editor-in-chief Katie Grand.

Delevingne adds that she “loved the experience of being on the other side, asking the questions and having more directive control.”

Delevingne is following in the footsteps of fellow model Edie Campbell who joined the magazine as a contributing editor in March 2014.
