Mecca welcomes Urban Decay into the fold

Mecca Cosmetica is set to expand its already huge repertoire of brands, with the announcement that it will stock Urban Decay on its shelves from March 27. In partnership with L’Oréal, Mecca will be the first local stockist for the American make-up brand, which is known for its collection of bright lipsticks and on-trend eyeshadow palettes.

General manager of L’Oréal Luxe Australia and New Zealand Luca Guillot Boschetti says the group is proud to be launching Urban Decay in Australia.

“Urban Decay is all about beauty with an edge, and we look forward to shaking up the industry with a brand that is made by make-up junkies for make-up junkies”.

The brand will soon be readily available to fans Down Under at Mecca Maxima stores around the country as well as online.

Mecca founder Jo Horgan says her customer base was desperate for this brand acquisition.

“I am delighted to be launching Urban Decay into our Mecca Maxima stores. It is one of the most in-demand beauty brands in the world and we can’t wait to bring this to our customers.”

A slew of the brand’s most popular products will line shelves, including the Naked palette favoured by celebrities like Julianne Hough and Mindy Kaling. This is alongside the equally popular intensely pigmented eyeshadows and waterproof 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils.
