Popstar Ariana Grande is the latest celebrity to jump on board the fragrance bandwagon, with the intention to release her own scent later this year.
The Grammy-nominated singer has just signed a deal with Luxe Brands to create a fragrance to hit department stores around the world in September.
The singer’s social media presence - which currently sits at 24 million fans on Facebook and Twitter and 25 million on Instagram - means the fragrance is likely to prove popular in the tween market.
The expansion into scent is a no-brainer for Grande, who admits to harbouring a perfume addiction. She told Women’s Wear Daily: “I’m asked so often about which fragrance I’m wearing, or if I have a signature scent. I do have favourites, but I really want to create something that encompasses everything I love… which is why I am so excited to create my personal fragrance I can call my own.”
On the collaboration, Luxe chief executive officer Tony Bajaj says; “Ariana Grande is an incredibly special talent. With this launch, Luxe Brands adds to its growing and strategically diverse portfolio.”
