With the face of an angel and a body as taut and toned as a professional athlete, Gigi Hadid is the model du jour for glossies worldwide. Gracing the pages of Sports Illustrated and the latest issue of Australian Vogue, the Californian girl is also the face of GUESS and Seafolly.
But an envy-inducing body like that doesn’t just happen, with Hadid revealing her dedicated workout regime incorporates a borderline-obsessive addiction to boxing at New York’s Gotham Gym.
"We start with jump rope - there's no better way to slim down legs - and we end with ballet-inspired floor exercises… In the middle, we box,” she tells Vogue, adding the process is an addictive one.
"When you're boxing, you get so into it mentally that you kinda forget what's going on, you forget that you're working out. You always want more."
Hadid was athletic from a young age, which helped to cultivate her competitive nature. “I was a volleyball player for 12 years, I rode horses my whole life, and now I box every day,” she explains.
"Boxing has been great for me because it's like my new sport, and it's something that I can get better at.”
But what is a workout plan without an equally dedicated diet? Hadid says balance is key: “I think the biggest thing I always say is to eat clean and stay fit, and then have a cheat day to stay sane.”
