Clinique’s plan to empower women

has confirmed girl power is far from forgotten with the announcement of its partnership with global community TED in an ode to “smart” women.

The collaboration will involve a global search for a “smart idea”, whereby the individual winner will be awarded a $20,000 grant and appear at TEDWomen in 2016.

The competition coincides with Clinique’s Smart Serum and was created to align with the skincare brand’s interest in empowering women worldwide.

The brand explains in a statement: “Clinique is a ‘smart’ brand and through this collaboration we are celebrating thought and creativity from anywhere in the world, and by utilising the female platform, we celebrate the power of female intelligence.”
