Bauer Media secures globally-experienced editor

With 18 years experience in the communications industry, Lisa Bjorksten is a highly sought after commodity. Something Bauer Media knows only too well, with the publishing house thrilled to announce it has secured the experienced journalist to the role of group digital director at BauerWorks.

Bjorksten has quite the impressive resumé, with positions including Yahoo!7 head of lifestyle and entertainment, Jurlique International global digital director, Commercialize TV chief content officer, King Content vice president New York, ninemsn lifestyle executive producer, New Woman executive editor, and Instant Beauty editor.

Bjorksten will join BauerWorks in January 2016 and will spearhead the division’s continued growth and evolution across digital platforms.

“Lisa’s experience in digital content marketing and strategy in the US, Asia and Australia will add a strong advantage to our content marketing offering, and build upon the growth we have experienced in this area over the past 12 months. We are committed to delivering our clients not just first-class content, but also a premium client management and strategy service,” says BauerWorks executive general manager Niall Murphy.

Bjorksten adds: “I am delighted to be joining BauerWorks at an exciting time in its evolution. It is a business with a fantastic portfolio of clients and opportunities. I am also excited by working with the whole group to maximise the endless possibilities that Bauer Media’s digital network provides our partners.”
