It’s been a month of movements in the publishing world with news CLEO will be folding and Dolly turned into a bi-monthly release in April. Leading Dolly into its next chapter will be Hearst Australia’s Marina Go, who has just been announced as the general manager of Young Women for Bauer Excel. This new position will see Go add Dolly and SHOP to her pre-existing digital portfolio.
Go comments on the announcement: “In addition to my role as GM of Hearst, I am now also GM of Young Women for Bauer Excel. As Publisher of the Young Women's group, I publish Dolly and SHOP.
"We will shortly appoint new editors for both Dolly and SHOP. [The magazines] perfectly support Cosmo in Bauer Media’s young women’s multi-platform strategy. Dolly and Cosmo are experiencing significant digital growth and will spearhead our mobile-first approach.”
