Not only is Oz Beauty Expert editor and founder Bonnie Gillies a successful blogger, but she’s also had an illustrious career as a hair and make-up artist in the fashion and film industry for over 10 years.
With the jobs coming in thick and fast for her roles as influencer, expert and make-up artist, Gillies has made the decision to go from agency-based to in-house representation in order to streamline all aspects of her career.
“I decided to take management in-house because what I do is a bit of a specialty area. I'm not just a blogger but I'm also a working make-up artist in the fashion industry. There are agents for make-up artists and there are agents for bloggers, but nowhere had experience managing both,” says Gillies.
“This way [my new agent] Kitty and I will work side by side and she will manage all areas of my career. I think it will streamline everything and create a bigger, better, more proactive 2016. It will clear up communication and enable me to be more involved in the booking process.”
