Striving to be the number one destination for women in Australia, Bauer Excel Media’s ambitions got a boost today with news it has appointed Jane Waterhouse as the new general manager for consumer.
Effective May 2, Waterhouse will head up key titles in the Women’s Network including Australian Women’s Weekly, Woman’s Day, Food to Love, Homes to Love, Gourmet Traveller and Australian Geographic. Waterhouse will be responsible for overseeing the titles’ strategic growth from an audience, product and commercial perspective.
Waterhouse comes from an impressive background in publishing, marketing and advertising. Previous roles include founder, owner and managing director of Sister Communications, CEO and publisher of We Magazines, editor-in-chief at Weight Watchers Magazine, lifestyle editor at Woman's Day, and marketing manager at Australian Women's Weekly.
