Trilogy acquires 25 per cent stake in business

Trilogy International (TIL) is cementing the future of its certified organic rosehip oil supply with news it has acquired a 25 per cent stake in Chilean-based rosehip producer Forestal Casino.

The deal sees Forestal Casino grant a long-term supply agreement for rosehip oil – a core ingredient in a number of skincare products produced by the brand. Forestal Casino is a family-owned business specialising in the production of high-quality rosehip products for both the rosehip tea industry and the pressing of rosehip seed into oil for the skincare market.

“Partnering and investing in Forestal Casino is an exciting strategic initiative for TIL that fortifies the supply chain for one of our key ingredients, while also delivering benefits from their deep knowledge and experience of the rosehip industry. As we continue to grow, initiatives like this investment, which vertically integrate the supply chain, are an important part of the strategy to reinforce Trilogy as a global leader in natural skincare,” says Trilogy International CEO Angela Buglass.

“Forestal Casino has a long history in organic rosehip production and has supplied TIL with high-quality rosehip oil since 2010. Their future plans to expand production of rosehip supports TIL’s growing global demand and increased focus on new products and innovation.”

Forestal Casino CEO Christopher Stohr adds: “We are thrilled to be partnering with a strong brand such as Trilogy. We have observed the growing success of the Trilogy brand over a number of years and believe the partnership supports TIL’s growth strategy while allowing us to execute expansion plans at a faster rate and create the opportunity for joint success in the future.”

The agreement was signed on May 26 and is expected to be settled by June 30.
