It seems like only yesterday Esprit Magazine was celebrating its 10th birthday, and just two years later the trade title is ringing in another milestone – with the launch of its 50th issue. It’s been a big year for the magazine, with Esprit welcoming a revamp and growing team in addition to its half-century arrival.
“Reaching the milestone of our 50th issue as a quarterly magazine, i.e. 12 years of publishing, as such a thriving business means we’re serving our growing readership with content they want and need because they cannot find it anywhere else, it’s relevant and they enjoy it. The new design, features and news are focused on the issues of retail beauty across the different channels and range of roles: from beauty assistants on the shop floor to brand management teams,” says managing director Andrea Ferrari.
“It was poignant when we had the photoshoot for my Editor’s Letter page for the 50th issue – returning to the office where, in 2004, I introduced Gavin Blackburn, the managing director of COTY to the concept of Esprit Magazine – a title I founded in the UK in 1988. Gavin saw the relevance and importance of such a publication for the retail trade that he set the ball rolling by booking the first advertising for the debut issue in July 2004.
“We shook hands on the deal back then and now 50 issues later we shook hands again on reaching a rewarding milestone. With a growing team including Nicci Herrera as national sales manager and Yasmin Border managing the digital elements, we are powering in to 2017 honing our targeted retail content to ensure readership engagement and growth.”
