Are Media is excited to announced the inaugural The Australian Women’s Weekly Health Summit, sponsored by Priceline Pharmacy.
The event will focus on health topics including menopause, wellness and mental health, physical health, financial health, and healthy eating. It will include a series of panel discussions, cooking demonstrations, and participatory sessions with experts, special guests, and The Weekly team.
"We could not be prouder to lead the national conversation around women’s health with our inaugural Health Summit," said The Australian Women’s Weekly editor, Sophie Tedmanson.
"The conversation around ageing, menopause and mental health has progressed but it’s clear we still have more work to do."
"We are committed to breaking stigmas around the needs of women and healthcare and, in doing so, encouraging women to advocate for themselves," she said.
The first in a series of events and associated content, the title created the summit in response to The Weekly’s 2023 Voice of Australian Women Survey.
The survey, of more than 5,000 women, found that they are more focused on mental and physical health than ever before. In addition, many are experiencing menopause symptoms and feel both unprepared for and uninformed about handling this change.
Hosted by Tedmanson and emcee Jessica Rowe, the Health Summit features some of Australia’s most trusted wellness experts including chef Julie Goodwin, fitness trainer Michelle Bridges, actress and mental health advocate Jodi Gordon, TV personality Myf Warhurst, former model Alison Daddo and finance expert Effie Zahos.
The Health Summit, brought to you by Priceline Pharmacy, together with Jean Hailes and McKenzie’s Foods, will be held in Sydney on Saturday August 31st at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia.
Tickets are on sale now, and each ticket includes a free gift bag worth $200.
