ghd appoints new managing director

ghd is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephanie Leathers as its new managing director for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), effective October 8th, 2024.

Leathers joins ghd with a strong track record of growing brands from start up to scale up, leading exponential growth.

"I am honoured to be joining ghd, a brand with a rich legacy of excellence and innovation, yet an even more exciting trajectory ahead," she said.

"I am looking forward to driving ghd’s next chapter of success in the ANZ market."

With a deep understanding of the ANZ retail and ecommerce landscape, Leathers has spent the last seven years in c-suite positions within the Aje Collective. She has extensive experience leading a diverse profile of teams and is truly passionate about aligning herself with a brand’s purpose and potential.

"We are thrilled to welcome Steph to the ghd family," said ghd APAC regional MD, Ross Leibbrandt.

"Her leadership and deep industry experience make her the ideal person to take our ANZ business forward."

"We are confident she will continue to build on the incredible foundation laid by Ludovic and the team and take the brand to new heights," said Leibbrandt.

Leathers will succeed Ludovic Dellazzeri, who is stepping down after nine years.

"We are deeply grateful for Ludovic’s unwavering dedication and leadership," said Leibbrandt.

"His contributions have been pivotal to our success in ANZ, and we wish him the very best in his future endeavours."

Dellazzeri reflected on his time with ghd saying, "It has been an honour to lead the ANZ team during such a dynamic period of growth. I am incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together and leave knowing the brand is in excellent hands."

The transition is planned to ensure a smooth handover and continued success for ghd in the ANZ region.
