La Mer announces exciting first

La Mer is excited to announce the brand is collaborating with esteemed chef, Neil Perry AM to host the first-ever La Mer Crèmery – a retro-inspired ice cream parlour popping up for one weekend only.

Taking place on April 4th and 5th in Double Bay’s Guilfoyle Park, the collaboration will provide guests the opportunity to take home samples of the world’s most iconic moisturiser, the La Mer Crème de la Mer Moisturizing Cream, accompanied by a specially crafted Crème de la Mer-inspired ice cream created by Perry.

An industry veteran and the head chef and owner of the Margaret Family dining precinct, which incorporates popular Double Bay venues including Margaret, Next Door, Song Bird, Bobbie’s and Baker Bleu, Perry is recognised as one of Australia’s most influential chefs.

Renowned for his use of fresh, seasonal produce and commitment to sustainable practices, Perry is also a longtime loyalist of the La Mer brand.

"Neil has been a valued friend of the brand for many years, so it was only fitting for him to bring the magic of La Mer to life via his culinary expertise," said La Mer Australia and New Zealand general manager, Mariko Rex.

"With Neil's creativity and craftsmanship behind the bespoke ice cream, along with opportunity to sample Crème de la Mer, the La Mer Crèmery truly offers guests an immersive experience that speaks to the heart of the brand’s identity."

Perry took his inspiration from Crème de la Mer’s ultra-rich, hand-poured formula and signature fermentation process, which transforms vitamins, minerals and other pure ingredients into the brand’s famed Miracle Broth™, the cell-renewing elixir found at the heart of every jar.

The result is a luxuriously smooth and rich buttermilk ice cream, perfectly capturing the Crème de la Mer magic and essence of luxury in every bite.

Guests can also enhance their ice cream with Perry’s garnishes, including kelp and sesame, key ingredients found within the iconic moisturiser’s formula.

"For over 20 years, Crème de la Mer has been an essential part of my daily routine, restoring and rejuvenating my skin after long days in the restaurants," said Perry.

"When the team invited me to craft an ice cream for the exclusive La Mer Crèmery, I knew exactly what I wanted to create."

To further celebrate the unique collaboration, Perry will also serve the La Mer ice cream and accompanying garnishes on both the lunch and dinner menu at Margaret and Song Bird from April 9th to 15th, 2025.
