LVMH-owned fashion and beauty house Christian Dior has announced its commitment to environmentally friendly skincare in their latest product launch.
The new range called Dior Hydra Life is a collection of nine products targeted towards product-conscious millennials, and the line is free from unnecessary ingredients in eco-designed packaging.
The Hyrdra Life range is also Dior’s first product to be tested by looking at the skin as a living organ and taking into account skin flora, which made the company’s partnership with the Human Microbiome Project, a worldwide collaboration researching skin flora genes, a perfect pairing.
The project used hundreds of researchers and published their findings in hundreds of scientific journals, ultimately leading to the creation of the Hydra Life products.
The line is gentle on the skin and eco-friendly by minimising the presence of parabens, silicone and petrochemical derivatives. Also, the packaging is constructed from leaflets, corrugated cardboard and cellophane and its ink is derived from natural origins.
These efforts combine reduces the environmental impact of the Hydra Life skincare collection and boost Dior’s appeal towards environmentally-geared millennials.
