It’s a leading global platform for premium, shoppable fashion and style content, and now US-based Clique is partnering with Allure Media to bring WhoWhatWear.com, Byrdie.com and MyDomaine.com to Australia.
Adding to Allure Media’s portfolio of popular website offerings, including the POPSUGAR franchise, the launch of Clique in Australia will see POPSUGAR publisher Alison Rice move into a group publisher role at the company. In her new position, Rice will oversee the women’s lifestyle commercial opportunities within the business.
“Allure Media has built its business partnering with world-class brands and we are excited to welcome Clique as our newest partner. The sites will offer Australian women the international flavour they already enjoy, along with highly curated local content,” says Allure Media CEO Jason Scott.
WhoWhatWear.com was launched in 2006 by two former Ellemagazine editors, Katherine Power and Hillary Kerr, in the US and is currently the third largest fashion brand on social media behind Vogue and Elle.
Power and Kerr add: “We are truly thrilled to partner with Allure Media to launch Australian versions of WhoWhatWear.com, Byrdie.com, and MyDomaine.com. This venture marks our first overseas expansion, and we are certain that Australia is the ideal place to begin. We’ve always appreciated our Australian readership tremendously, and look forward to producing unique, local content for this amazing audience.”
WhoWhatWear.com.au, Byrdie.com.au and MyDomaine.com.au will launch in the second half of 2015 and will be headed up by a team of local editors.
