Movements at COTY

Following news last September that COTY CEO Michele Scannavini was stepping down from the role due to personal reasons, the company is excited to announce that Elio Leoni Sceti is joining COTY as its latest CEO.

Leoni Sceti has an extensive background in leading various major global corporations, with his most recent role as CEO of frozen food giant Iglo Foods. He has also previously served leading positions at EMI Music, Reckitt Benckiser and P&G, crafting him a varied but strong background in brand development.

“Elio’s significant experience and proven track record in building successful, global brands will be a tremendous asset to COTY as it continues to enhance its position in the global beauty industry,” COTY’s interim CEO and chairman Bart Brecht told Cosmetics Design.
“I have known Elio on a professional level for many years, dating back to our days together at Reckitt Benckiser and I firmly believe he is the right leader to oversee the next stage of COTY’s development.”

Leoni Sceti’s position as CEO will commence on July 1, 2015. His role will focus on the growth of COTY’s brand portfolio, including the fragrance, colour cosmetics, skin and bodycare sectors.
