This week saw two beauty journalists step into new roles, with Melissa Mason promoted to features and beauty editor at Girlfriend and Total Girl and Eliza Cracknell now the senior beauty editor at ninemsn Honey.
With Laura Collins finishing up her role as features and entertainment editor at Girlfriend and Total Girl yesterday, Mason is now the best point of contact for all features, including health and lifestyle, as well as all beauty-related content. A new entertainment and content writer will commence working on both titles on August 26.
“I'm so excited to take on my new role as features and beauty editor at Girlfriend and Total Girl. I've loved working across beauty for the teen and tween markets for the past two years, and I'm so keen to venture into the world of features, health and fitness in addition to this,” says Mason.
Cracknell will no longer be looking after both fashion and beauty for ninemsn Honey, instead focusing her attention solely on beauty. Elle McClure is now the associate fashion editor for the site - covering fashion news, trends and shopping.
“Honey has already been a great success, but we still have so many exciting plans to take the site to the next level. When it comes to beauty, we want to be accessible, instructional, fun and of course, beautiful. Watch this space!” reveals Cracknell.
