International consumer knowledge specialist, Kantar, has released its annual Brand Footprint report, ranking the top 25 most chosen consumer brands in the world.
This year's report sees beauty and personal care brands firmly keeping hold of their positions from 2019.
The four brands securing a spot in the top 10 most chosen brands globally include: Colgate (no.2), Lifebuoy (no.5), Sunsilk (no.7) and Dove (no.8). Also making the top 25 list was Lux, Head & Shoulders, Nivea, Palmolive.
The report rankings are calculated looking at brand penetration (number of households reached) and consumer reach points (number of brand choices made globally based on number of households in a country, percentage of households purchasing a brand, and number of brand interactions across categories in a year combined).
Data is then compiled from 52 countires, representing 75 per cent of the world population and 85 per cent of global Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and spanned 22,900 brands in total.
