By all accounts, Kendall Jenner’s alliance with has been a huge success. The collaboration between the social media starlet and renowned make-up brand led to campaigns, as well as the release of a best-selling lipstick. Now, Jenner has her sights on releasing a fragrance with the cosmetics giant, according to WWD.
At the recent launch for Lauder’s fragrance Modern Muse Le Rouge, Jenner admitted that after her collaboration on the Pure Color Line lipstick in Restless, she is eager to expand into perfumes. WWD reported that she told surrounding brand executives. “Hint, hint… I love a good vanilla-y scent. Modern Muse Le Rouge has a hint of vanilla and raspberry, which I actually really love.”
Jenner has already boosted the appeal of the US brand’s fragrances. At a recent Macy’s appearance, she assisted in the sale of more than US$35,000 worth of the Modern Muse Le Rouge - Lauder’s latest incarnation of the original Modern Muse fragrance. It is estimated that the perfume will make US$90 million in its first year on counter, making another Lauder x Jenner collaboration a case of not ‘if’, but ‘when’.
