No stranger to reality TV, Kim Kardashian-West is launching a show of her own in an effort to find a beauty director for her burgeoning app business. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star will be executive producer of the series, which will be led by the producers of fellow reality show The Real Housewives of New York City.
An Instagram ad for the concept explains: “The most influential style icon on the planet is searching for America’s next superstar beauty blogger.” A source has told WWD that casting for the show has begun. “We have got a huge response from bloggers. Everyone wants to be a part of the Kardashian empire. The chance to have a career with the biggest names in fashion and beauty is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and even the biggest beauty bloggers in the country know that.”
But competition is fierce, with the initial call-out revealing contestants must be over the age of 21, and have thousands of followers on their various social media platforms. The series will see challenges based around make-up application and vlogging ability with the winner awarded the ability to provide content and tutorials on the beauty and lifestyle apps of Kardashian sisters Khloe, Kourtney and Kim.
