Rachael Mannell’s new digital TV project

After being hush, hush about her movements since leaving Cleo, Rachael Mannell is excited to finally reveal what she’s been up to. The former Cleo beauty director has been signed on to launch healthyMEtv’s Beauty Health category.

healthyMEtv is Channel Seven’s Hybrid Broadcast Broadband TV’s first online channel and showcases information and advice from Australia’s leading health and beauty professionals. It covers a mixture of topics in fitness, nutrition, health, beauty and lifestyle.

Mannell will create content that covers new products, latest research and trends, as well as instructional information on how consumers can get the best health and beauty outcomes.

Having covered general health topics since the channel’s inception in January this year, the Beauty Health category will be the first of several specific areas that healthyMEtv will explore in depth in its first year.

There has been a huge shift in both consumer interest as well as brand positioning to focus on health benefits in the beauty category. healthyMEtv is perfectly positioned to explore this interest as the ultimate source of information and inspiration. As an exciting and innovative new media platform, it’s also the perfect place to tell the stories I want to tell,” says Mannell.

Channel director Julie Duff adds, Our audience has shown a great interest in the existing beauty content we currently broadcast. When we started talking to Rachael, it was apparent that she was as passionate about this opportunity as we were. Her reputation in the industry and her ability to craft relevant and engaging conversations with a mass audience is a highly valuable addition to the channel and to the presenting team.”

Mannell’s first appearance on the channel will be in early July and will feature a range of short-form instructional content, product reviews, and special guests focused on health and beauty.
