Which publications have signed on to Apple News?

Today sees Apple News launch on to the landing page of iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches across Australia, with consumers given the opportunity to get news from a wide range of different publications all in the one spot.

As part of Apple's latest software upgrade - iOS 9.1 - the Apple News app sees consumers no-longer needing to visit each individual title's app or homepage to get their news. Instead, they'll be able to access content from a range of local and international publications in one location.

The full list of available titles is vast, with the likes of InStyle, Girlfriend and Bride to Be joining The Age, Sydney Morning Herald, The Herald Sun and The Daily Telegraph. And that's just a very small taste of the local content available - with international mastheads on the app including everything from The New York Times to Slate and Red Bull.

With Apple News, publishers are given the freedom to choose what content they want to appear on the platform. And as News Corp group editorial director Campbell Reid advised, while partnering with Apple News definitely has its concerns and questions - it would be a far bigger concern not to have a presence on there at all.
