Who: C/meo Collective
When: 2:00pm, May 17, Carriageworks

Hair: Lauren McCowan for Evo
Hair look:
“The C/meo girl is really effortless but she’s also quite considered in the way she approaches her life. The collection is the same, it’s really beautifully styled, super cool but with a level of polish and we tried to bring that out with the hair. It’s an up-do but we’re also really heroing the individual. There are lots of different girls with lots of different textures and we’re using the Evo products and Cloud Nine tools to bring out the best in each girl’s hair. We’ve prepped with Evo Day of Grace Pre-Style Primer which is almost like insurance for the hair. It lays a really beautiful base hydration layer so regardless what you’re going to do, it sorts out porosity and protects while styling. Before we heat style, we’ve used Evo Icon Welder Hot Tool Shaper which is a medium hold, medium shine product. Then we go through and use the flat irons on low temperatures to create detail. We look at the way the girl’s individual waves and curls are reading and we bring the irons down to either compress and polish the shape, or build it up. We’re not ironing the entire hair shaft, just going through and putting soft, effortless movement in to make the best of what they already have.”

Makeup: Nigel Stanislaus for Maybelline
Makeup look:
“The C/meo girl is all about being in love and on vacation. We’ve used a blush bronze cream look with a beautifully soft finish. It’s very Maybelline because we want to take her from the catwalk, to the sidewalk, to the plane and onto the holiday destination and this makeup should be very simple. It’s got medium coverage on the skin and we’ve draped the eyes with a pink shadow, that at first looked a little too candy, so we also added a bit of bronzer on top. This also went onto the cheeks. Then we finished off with Maybelline Baby Balm & Blush in Innocent Peach and that was it. It’s very easy, and we’re not trying to complicate things.”
