WWD announces new launch

Fashion-industry trade journal, Women’s Wear Daily (WWD), has revealed it is launching a Korean edition as part of its global expansion.

WWD Korea is set to launch in January and it will be produced under license with WWD’s parent company, Penske Media Corp. It will be led by Yuma Kim, an entrepreneur who has a background in beauty, entertainment, blockchain technology and more. Vogue Korea’s former director, Reese Kim, will be heading up the editorial side.

“The license allows WWD to take an even deeper dive into South Korea’s ever-expanding beauty, fashion and related industries,” WWD and Fairchild Media editorial director, James Fallon, said. “We look forward to continuing to expand WWD’s reach across the globe, while providing even greater access to WWD’s world-renowned content."
