Calling all beauty junkies – a rare opportunity has arisen at Australia’s leading B2B beauty magazine – Professional Beauty at The Intermedia Group for a dynamic beauty editor three days a week.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years’ experience as a journalist in the beauty industry and a knowledge of arranging creative beauty shoots.

As beauty editor your role will consist of:

  • Creating innovative beauty stories featuring profiles on makeup artists, salon owners and game-changers in the fast paced industry
  • Proficient in producing online content for the newsletter and regular social media posts
  • Writing salon reviews
  • Sourcing beauty products from professionals
  • Arranging beauty shoots for each issue
  • Attending media events and producing events pages for the magazine

In return for your efforts, you will be compensated with a competitive salary plus superannuation. This position represents a great opportunity to work with a highly dynamic and exciting industry, while working within a friendly and professional environment. 

You must be able to currently work in Australia without restrictions.

Someone who is curious to learn and evolve in this fast paced industry and enjoys a level of autonomy. You will spend time with the leadership team on over all direction and strategy of your clients as well as working with you on your personal development.

When it comes to pitching you know where to look and how to pitch. For your clients, you are ready, available, professional and positive. You are honest and direct in your communications with your clients, in order to get them the best possible results.

As a publicist at SHA you will likely have a PR assistant reporting to you, their success is a reflection on you. Ensuring you mentor, assist and be patient is key. As well as giving honest feedback, to help them achieve their own career goals.

Your role includes accountability on finance and budgets. Running your own budgets across your client portfolio, as well as reporting as key to your role. Which means you need to be as comfortable with Excel as you are Instagram.
