NZ: Estée Lauder continues its charitable streak

Founder Estée Lauder was notoriously charitable, and her revolutionary spirit is a legacy at Estée Lauder companies. For two decades, The Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign has addressed the crisis of breast cancer in more than 70 countries around the world.

President and CEO of the company Fabrizio Freda says of the initiative: “At The Estée Lauder Companies, we believe that each person can play a role in helping to defeat breast cancer through unique and impactful action. I am so proud of our Company’s collective achievements around the world, as we continue to elevate global education and medical research for breast health through The BCA Campaign.”

Back for 2015, the campaign hopes to expand on the NZD$58 million already raised to support global research, education and medical services. This year’s initiative will celebrate activities big and small that aim to tackle the disease.

This year, the company will be utilising social media, encouraging the public to post a photo, video or message about they are fighting against breast cancer on BCAcampaign.com, Twitter or Instagram using #BCAstrength. For every action submitted, The Estée Lauder Companies will donate NZD$35 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

The company will also donate from the sale of specific beloved products from its current range, as well as support the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation - sponsoring the Estée Lauder Companies Pink Star Walk for its third year, which will be held on October 3.
