The BD team have some fun this week as we delve into the world of glitter.
Rimmel London Magnif’Eyes Double Ended Shadow & Liner
Although glitter isn’t part of my everyday make-up look, it’s something fun and different to play with, which I love. I trialled the Rimmel London Magnif’Eyes Double Ended Shadow & Liner in Queens Of The Bronzed Age and I was delighted by the gorgeous effect it gave to my eyes. It is a dual-tipped pen with a shimmery eyeshadow on one end and a kohl kajal liner on the other. I simply rubbed on the eyeshadow, applied the eyeliner, added a swipe of mascara and I was ready to go. As an added benefit it kept my eyes looking fresh all night long! - Laura
It may be just the result of being a tween in the ‘00s but my love of shimmer will never die. Thankfully Australis Cosmetics has introduced shine back into cosmetics, this time in a far more sophisticated fashion than the straight glitter I used to love. The Metallix collection in Jay Zed is a deep bronze shimmer that slips onto eyelids seamlessly, adding a little fun to a boring eye. - Sarah
I am drawn to sparkly things like a magpie; sequins, glitter, shimmer and a good highlight – they all make me ridiculously happy. Luckily make-up has evolved and I’ve been able to move on from pressing glitter into vaseline smeared on my eyelids (true story – refer to year six formal pics). Stratus by bodyography is the epitome of ‘pretty in pink’; the finely milled pigment applies easily to the lid with little fallout, the result is delicately ethereal and perfect for the icy months ahead. - Kelly
Frequently complimented on my slender fingers and well-manicured nails, I’d say my hands are one of my favourite features. And like any favourable feature, I enjoy drawing attention to them in any way I can – oh hello glitter, you gorgeous thing, you! Kester Black’s Trophy Wife collection ain’t for the faint-hearted, these babies sparkle more than the twinkle in your Sugar Daddy’s eye! Chip-resistant and cruelty-free, it’s like there’s an ethical disco party happening on your fingertips! - Sophia
