Naked Tan Goddess Self Tan
I am a proud Queenslander and as such, I worship the ‘beach’ babe look. Unfortunately, thanks to English parents, I don’t naturally have a bronze glow, so I’m loyal to the fake bake. I have tried nearly every fake tan brand on the market and can honestly say Naked Tan Goddess Self Tan is one of my favourites. Perfect for time-poor ladies (read: all of us!), the clear gel only needs to be left on for two hours before you can wash it off and get on with your day. Overnight, the tan develops into a beautiful bronze colour- no oompa loompas present. To top it all off, the formula is infused with shea butter, aloe vera and avocado oil to leave skin nourished and smelling like a tropical summer’s day. - Sarah
Jbronze Dark Tanning Mousse
I'm not a huge fake tanner, but when I’m in desperate need of colour, I tend to opt for two-hour tans as it means I don't have to spend hours feeling sticky. Yesterday was my ‘tanning day’. With a work event in the evening, by the time I got home and had a late dinner, showering, prepping and tanning was the last thing I felt like doing. Let me tell you, JBronze soon turned my frown upside down. It literally took one minute to apply, and since the formula is coloured, I could see where I’d applied the tan. I smoothed it over my body using a mitt and waited for it to dry. After about two minutes, I was ready to put on my PJs and jump into bed. Now this is the part I usually can’t stand: I HATE going to bed feeling tacky. But I was pleasantly surprised! I didn’t feel sticky, nor was there an over-powering smell. When I woke up in the morning, I was super impressed with the colour. It's very natural - the perfect bronze. While you can shower after four hours, it definitely didn't matter that I waited till after my eight hours of beauty sleep. Well done, Hawko. - Yelena
Tuscan Tan Full Self Tan Gel
Hi, my name is Kelly and I’m a tanaholic. It started with some truly questionable formulas in high school (picture streaky, orange limbs), and then just continued through uni and the last few years as a somewhat functioning adult. Anyone who knows me well knows Thursday nights are for tanning, so I am unavailable for play dates. I even have a specific blanket that I cocoon myself in order to keep my linen stench- and streak free - yep, I’m THAT much of a pro! When it comes to sun-kissed skin, I’m not really a loyal lass, so I’ve tried loads of different brands over the years. This week, I tried the gel formula from Tuscan Tan and it was a dream to apply. It’s smooth, and I loved the tinted formula - it always helps to see where I’ve already applied the tan. pureTAN Light/Medium Instant Tanning Foam
I am very new to self-tanning, but lucky for me, I work with a group of girls who are absolute pros. As a first timer, I was nervous I was going to turn a bright shade of orange, but I was reassured, given a pep talk on application and handed a bottle of the Pure Bronze Instant Tanning Foam in Light/Medium - then I was on my own! Once I started applying the foam, all my hesitation faded away. It was so easy to apply and went on smoothly without streaking. The best part? I only had to wait one hour for the colour to develop before hopping into the shower. The result was a natural, sun-kissed glow and I couldn’t be happier. My skin felt soft and moisturised, without the tacky feeling I had associated with fake tanning. If you are new to tanning or just very fair like me, give this tanner a go - you can thank me later! - Aja
