Twitter’s new feature now available on mobile

Twitter’s new feature, Moments, which lets users collect and curate tweets into one scrollable (on desktop) or swipeable feed is now available on mobile.

A Moment is a collection of tweets, with or without pictures and videos, that are curated into a single timeline. These can range from live reporting at an event to simply sharing a personal milestone. Users can access the feature by choosing a tweet and clicking on the grey arrow in the upper right-hand corner on the screen. A pop-up window will appear with a tab that reads 'Add to Moment'.

At the time of the launch in October 2015, only select publishers and Twitter's own team of curators could access the feature. Since then, Twitter has offered Moments to advertisers, and in September it opened up the feature to anyone on the service.

While Twitter has let go of other products in the last year, most notably its six-second-video app Vine, the company has been ramping up to launch Moments into the mainstream on mobile. Twitter director of curation Andrew Fitzgerald told Mashable earlier this month: "Based on what we’ve seen this year, I think it’s the foundation of a lot more fantastic work for making Twitter the best news outlet on the planet.”
