MYER’s hair and beauty for Spring/Summer 15

MYER’s hankering for the hotter seasons was evident at its Spring/Summer 15 showcase, held at Carriageworks last night. Debuting the trends and styles to hit stores shortly, the models walked down the runway with a beauty look that was screamed ‘beach babe’.

Australian stylist Kevin Murphy directed the hair at the event, with inspiration coming from former Bond girl Ursula Andress. The famed ‘coming out of the water’ scene was recreated but modernised by Murphy and his team with added texture.

Hero product helped to create wet locks for both the male and female models, with hair kept sleek against the nape of the neck. Murphy explained the reasoning behind the look: “The attraction in this look is its versatility and sense of effortlessness, suiting all hair lengths and textures, complimenting cheekbones and staying strong.”

Make-up maestro Napoleon Perdis and his team created the Greek goddess-inspired beauty looks. Bronzing took front and centre, which incorporated both and . Skin was first prepped with the brand’s oil-based cleanser Balm Voyage Moisture Complex for optimum hydration.

Perdis said of the gilded look: “The Mediterranean has always been near and dear to my heart, and I am forever inspired by the beauty of the Grecian summer… bronze, silver and gold tones fused together and strategically placed create a youthful and radiant glow.
