Australian make-up artists take note - the search is on for the next big thing, with L'Oréal Paris on the lookout for its next make-up director. In February the brand will be launching national competition Makeup Designer Contest to find the next beauty superstar to welcome to its ranks.
Throughout February, L’Oréal invites make-up artists both amateur and professional to submit an online entry form for the chance to win a one-year contract to the brand’s Australian offshoot. How to enter? The brand explains: “Design your ‘L’Oréal Paris Look of 2016’ - a modern look that embodies the creativity, artistry and elegance of L’Oréal Paris.”
The top 10 will take to the stage for the finale, showcasing their talents in front of a jury of industry experts in Melbourne on March 23. The panel will include GRITTYpretty founder Eleanor Pendleton, vlogger Heidi Hamoud, Priceline Pharmacy buyer Emma Hogan, and L’Oréal Paris Australia marketing director Lauren Young.
Those competing will be judged on creativity, personality, technical prowess and fit to the brand. The winner will receive a $80,000 prize package including the one-year contract, $5,000 worth of L’Oréal Paris products and a $5,000 Priceline Pharmacy gift card.
Entries can be made at www.makeupdesigner.com.au.
