Pacific Magazines is the latest publishing house to announce a make-over of its digital offerings.
The company will commence the overhaul with the marie claire and WHO websites – the first digital development since the company established a new commercial partnership with Yahoo7. The arrangement sees creative, content and digital management handed back to Pacific Magazines, with Yahoo7 responsible for native advertising.
Pacific Magazines CEO Peter Zavecz tells AdNews of the changed alliance: “The relationship between Pacific Magazines and Yahoo7 takes advantage of our position, which is a deep focus into categories such as food, fashion and home. The arrangement also gives us access to Yahoo7's ad technology facilities, including native display advertising.”
Zavecz continues: “News platforms are just the start”, confirming that 12 new online destinations are on the horizon, launching two products per week for the next six weeks. The key focus for the company is on mobile user experience, with integration of all social media platforms paramount. “Our focus is on social, media, visual and commerce. This partnership intends to develop our categories especially through video content,” Zavecz adds.
