Melissa Mason is the new senior style editor at PEDESTRIAN.TV. The former Primped editor will now be covering a variety of categories in her new role at the Aussie publisher. BD spoke to Mason to find out more about what her role will entail.
Can you tell us a little bit about your background?
I started my journalism career in beauty, working at FAMOUS magazine before moving to Girlfriend as beauty writer in 2013. From there, I became features and beauty editor before moving into digital as style writer for MTV. I took on [the role of] editor of Primped.com.au last year, but have now moved into a role covering a variety of areas as PEDESTRIAN.TV's senior style editor.
What will the role entail?
I'll be heading up the LUXE section, launching this month, which will cover everything luxury and high-end across fashion, beauty, art, architecture, auto and travel.
What attracted you to the position?
The opportunity to expand my expertise across such an amazing array of topics really excites me. Plus, PEDESTRIAN.TV is a site I frequent on a personal level every day, I've always loved its content so to be able to be part of the team now is the best!
What are you most looking forward to?
Really getting into the whole luxury and high-end world, and then bringing that to the PEDESTRIAN.TV reader with our own unique spin.
