Instagram makes major change to Stories

Today Instagram is rolling out a few updates that will make it faster and easier to upload photos and videos to Stories.

Users will now be able to upload multiple photos and videos to a story all at once. Whether users want to preview the entire story to make sure it’s just right or if they are waiting for a strong connection to upload all of the photos and videos from the day, it’s now faster and easier than ever to share to a story after the moment has passed.

A new icon now appears at the top right corner of the screen. Tap it to begin selecting up to ten photos or videos from the gallery. On the edit screen, a preview of all the media selected can be viewed, lined up at the bottom, and each one can be tapped to edit individually with stickers, text and all the other creative tools in Instagram Stories – similar to uploading multiple photos.

The feature is currently being trialled in the US with an Australian roll-out yet to be announced.
