The Coveteur taps beauty entrepreneur for expansion

The Coveteur - a lifestyle site that delves into the wardrobes of fashion and beauty insiders - has bought on a new team of advisors for its next stage of growth.

Supermodel Cindy Crawford, designer Prabal Gurung and beauty entrepreneur Bobbi Brown will support the media brand by acting as sounding boards and helping to open new doors as it expands into more content verticals, platforms and branded content.

"We felt it was critical to have voices of experience in the areas that we touch, like fashion, style beauty, entertainment, entrepreneurship and business," says Coveteur chief executive Warren Webster. "We looked for a small group of people who support our brand, believe in it and who really are at the top of their game in their respective fields."

Coveteur is reportedly focusing on expanding editorial coverage to include more beauty, health and wellness while maintaining its signature voice and visual aesthetic. The brand's audience has doubled in the last two years.

While Crawford, Gurung and Brown have no official holding in the company, musician Drake famously invested an undisclosed sum to a funding round totalling $US500,000 in 2012 – the only funding that Coveteur has received since it was founded in 2011.
