After leaving the world of magazines in late 2013 for a role as beauty editor at MAXMEDIALAB, Meg Bellemore is returning to publishing as the new beauty editor at CLEO/DOLLY.
The former beauty and lifestyle writer at Cosmopolitan Bride and Cosmopolitan pregnancy magazines started in her new position yesterday, and is working alongside beauty director Sarah Brooks-Wilson and beauty assistant Bree Grant.
“I am so excited to have Meg on the team, she comes with such great energy. The DOLLY and CLEO readers are going to love her,” says Brooks-Wilson.
To find out more about the new role, we took Bellemore aside for a quick chat:
What attracted you to the position at CLEO/DOLLY?
Definitely the titles – CLEO and DOLLY are two Australian icons I love to bits. The opportunity to work across both magazines within a really talented team is one I jumped at.
Are you excited about getting back into magazines?
Absolutely. Gaining experience in the digital realm was invaluable, but I’ve missed the creative process of magazines. It’s great to be back!
What are you most looking forward to in the new role?
I’m looking forward to having a lot of fun with the beauty pages, pushing the boundaries a bit and ensuring the content across both titles really stands out in the market.
